9 News Package Cover a story, event or incident –It must tell a story –Should include: An Intro Stand-up or voice over Sound Bytes Natural Sound An Outro

10 Personal Profile – Long Form Select a subject to interview –Look for interesting features that will warrant interesting visuals –Someone who likes reading as a subject might be slightly less interesting than someone who can sing, dance, draw, do a backflip, etc.

11 Personal Profile – Long Form Requirements –At least 2 minutes –Multiple interviews Either the same person on more than one occasion Or a second person talking about the profile subject –Include B-Roll –Include natural sound & music –Incorporate original graphics –Export final version to playable movie file

13 They Tell a Story Cover an event –Interview a variety of event attendees The more, the better –Gather B-Roll –Edit together a story without the aid of using a stand-up or voice over You should only be using sound-bytes you gather at the event Keep a shot log as you go that gives you an idea of what your interviewees talked about to help build your story
