3 Points of Interest Four month time lapse between John 11 and 12. John leaves out two of these last days of Jesus’ Life In 12:1-11 Jesus arrives Bethany to visit friends The key word for the theme of this section is “love”. Used 31 times from here on….only 7 before Here we see Jesus “leaving” his own (John 1:11) and turning His attention to those most important in His life those who did receive Him (John 1:12).

4 John 12:12-19 (KJV) 12) On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13) Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

5 14) And Jesus, when he had found a young donkey, sat thereon; as it is written, 15) Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an donkey's colt. 16) These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

10 Conclusion : When Jesus is present, three things will happen: Excitement will be in the air Preparations will be made Division will become apparent
