Course Contents 3. Data Compression and Encoding (10 hrs) –Lossless compression, Huffman, Arithmetic, LZW –Lossy compression, JPEG –Video coding, H.261, MPEG –Audio compression 4. Digital Audio (3 hrs, Yip) –Basic acoustics –Computer music, MIDI 5. Computer Graphics (0 hrs) –Too much to be covered
