2. FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES PROBLEM Posted on the class website under Assignments. Contains 4 parts: –Access –Excel –Word & –PowerPoint

3. SUBMISSION METHOD Close all 4 files and have them ready Go to the submission website You will then have to fill in that page FOUR times and browse for each file individually. For each submission, select Homework 6 as the Project name.

4. STEP 1 In Step 1 a through f, they are just asking you to download the data files that you will need for this assignment on your computer. Right click on each one and click “save target as” or “save link as”, depending on your browser, and save them to your desktop to be imported later.

5. STEPS 2 THROUGH 6 Those steps will cover the Access part of this assignment. Nothing really surprising and everything has been covered in Homework assignments 4 and 5 and the second exam. Note that steps 5c and 5d are SQL. –Simply just copy and paste the code in the SQL view –You will need the results of those two queries for a later step

6. STEP 6 Run Compact and Repair Close Access Move on to the Excel Part

7. STEPS 7, 8, 10, AND 11 The formatting and the requirements of these steps are all identical to some steps of homework assignments 1 through 3

STEP 9 A Import the results of Query5C into the Most Profit by Industry sheet –Go to the Most Profit by Industry sheet and click in cell A1 –Go to the Data ribbon in the top –In the “Get External Data Group”, click on From Access –Browse to your Access file that you created in steps 2 through 6 previously, select it and then hit Open –Select Query5C from the list and hit OK –Hit one more OK without changing the default settings of the “Import Data” little window

9. STEP 9B Follow the same steps of the previous slides for the Commercial Bank Revenue sheet bringing Query5D results this time...

10. STEP 12 – 18 MICROSOFT WORD Step 12: Open up Microsoft Word and save the file as lastname_firstname_ffhcp Step 13: –In the Pages group, get the drop-down menu of Cover Page –Scroll down in that list to select the Sideline one –Fill in the information you’re given

12. STEP 14 Open up the commercialbanking.txt file from your computer Select the whole text in there and copy it and paste it on the second page of your Word document. DO NOT APPLY THE FORMATTING YET. Once you’re done pasting it, move on to step 15.

13. STEP 15 Insert a copy of the pivot chart from the excel file you created in steps 11 a through d.

14. STEP 16 Type in the equation wherever indicated using the Equation Editor

15. STEP 17 Go to the References tab in the top Click on “Manage Sources” in the Citations and Bibliography group. Click on New Select the desired type of source in the top and then start filling the information in their desired boxes. When done hit OK Click again on New to add the second citation and so on

17. When you’re done typing the three references, click on Close While you’re still on the References tab, in the Citations and Bibliography group, make sure that the style is APA. Click on Bibliography to select the first option (Bibliography). Then you will see your references will be listed.

18. STEP 18 Now apply the formatting that they indicate within the angle brackets to the whole document

19. STEP 19 – 21 MICROSOFT POWERPOINT Home tab->Slides group->Layout(Title slide) Second Slide-> Insert chat Answer the Analysis Questions. Each question in separate slide

20. STEP 22 - MICROSOFT POWERPOINT Design Tab-> Themes Animations Tab –Animations group –Transition group View tab->Slide Master->Parent slide-> Insert Tab->Illustrations-> Picture Insert-> text group-> Header and Footer
