“Playground” Game Step 1: Get in a circle Step 2: I will call someone’s name and throw ball to them, they will call someone’s name and also throw it to them, etc., until the whole class has received the ball. Step 3: Remember your order Step 4: Lets do it again, just a little bit harder REMEMBER: YOU MUST GO IN THE SAME ORDER EVERYTIME!

OMG—I’m Late to Ms. Mongogna’s class Sign Late Board with name & Time you arrive Go to your seat and begin to work quietly Leave your pass out on your desk for me to pick up Talk to us at the END of class about the time you will make up. You must make up missed time within 2 days. In general we will ask you to stay as long as you have missed But that depends on a few things….

Off and OUT OF SIGHT In Room ???: 1 st time: Warning 2 nd time: In a labeled plastic bag in my desk until the end of the period. You may have it back then. If you choose not to give it to us, then the Asst Headmaster & or Dean of Culture has to get involved and you may be suspended.

Grading Policy Assessments Tests, Essays, Quizzes, Projects 50% of your grade Classwork Notebook & all assignments/activities completed in class 20% of your grade Homework Any assignment completed out of class time 20% of your grade Participation Actively participating in discussions and group work & asking questions 10% of your grade

If all of these procedures are followed, you will be on your way to a great Participation Grade! Participation: A perfect score is achieved by earning 15 points per week…..but you can earn up to 25 per week (think of it like extra credit)! Your daily grade will be posted in the back of the classroom 5 Leader: Does all that is expected & a little more & helps out a classmate 4 Contributor: Does what is asked, plus something extra 3 Participant: Does everything asked in class 2 Observer: Does Less than is asked 1 Detractor: Does less than is asked, plus keeps someone else from participating

SCHOOL RULES: What do all these pictures have in common? All staff have been instructed to confiscate hats on heads and any electronic device that is out and hold them until the end of the day. Non-compliance means a step up the consequence ladder to the unit leaders and other not-fun things. – Detention, etc.
