2. Taste buds play the most important part in helping you enjoy food. They recognize four basic kinds of tastes: sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. Your tastes change as you get older. When you were a baby taste buds were on the sides and roof of your mouth. As you grow these start to disappear When you get older, your taste buds will become less sensitive, so you will likely eat some foods that you didn’t before

3. Who doesn’t like sweets? The sense of taste tells us about the quality of food. Of all the basic tastes, sweetness is the most liked. Although humans want to consume sweet foods and drinks, it would be wrong to say that everyone like the same amount of sweetness. People like sweets for its soothing properties, so we often consume way too many of them.

4. The term "sweet tooth" is used to describe people who love sweets. Sweet perception varies even in the same person over time. People can have a sweet tooth for everything from ripe fruit to chocolates. Having a sweet tooth isn't necessarily a bad thing unless too many sweets are consumed.
