You can stop yourself from getting a virus by; downloading anti-virus software A virus is small computer software which can go from one computer to another. Viruses can delete documents, freeze your computer screens and they can act as if they are friendly links, but really they are not. It depends on what software you download to whether there are any problems or not.

This is a virus which has concentrated on one type of computer in one area. Its believed to have been created by a government or several governments. It is a very recent thing. It was used to target the Irans atomic weapons programme. It was transported by a memory stick.

Hackers can delete personal and/or important details or documents. Use strong passwords on your computer. Never open something from an unknown person, or they could get into your computer.

What types of things should I be backing up on my computer? Information and files relating to banking. Digital photos. Purchased/downloaded music from the Internet. Purchased/downloads. By creating backups on your computer, CD etc.. You can save your work from being lost.
