2 Patience “Bearing pains and trials calmly or without complaint. Manifesting forbearance under provocation or strain Not hasty or impetuous Steadfast despite opposition, difficulty or adversity

3 Patience “The capacity to continue to bear up under difficult circumstances. Not hasty or impetuous” (L&N) Temperance, forbearance, endurance, long-suffering, etc.
