Active Children are active in their learning. Children work independently, with a partner, as part of a group or as a class. Literacy tasks encourage reading, writing, talking and listening. Use of games and ICT Written work still important but not death by textbook/worksheet!!

Mathematics Number, Money and Measure Numbers to 10/20/100 Adding/Subtracting Recognising/using coins Routines/Morning-Night/ Morning- Afternoon/Days of the Week/Months of the Year/Seasons/Clock faces analogue- digital/o’clock-half past Shorter-longer/Tall-taller/Heavy- heavier/Lighter-lighter

Shape, Position & Movement Name 2D & 3D shape/Sort shapes/Describe shapes/Investigate such things as which shapes roll Language of position – above/below/in front/behind/ right/left Symmetry

Information Handling Sort objects to a given criteria Children use their own criteria to sort objects Visual timetable Graphs – pictographs/block graphs Collect information

Health & Wellbeing This area includes Food and Health Mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing P.E., physical activity and sport Planning for choices Relationships, sexual health and parenthood Substance misuse

Restorative School Listen to all involved Appropriate questions are used A way forward is sought A suitable sanction is applied Parents informed through diary or by phone call

Golden Time Reward 20 mins approx. Every Friday afternoon Board games Social time but with purpose Loss of Golden time card – sit out with timer
