BIOGRAPHY Martin Campbell was born in Hastings on 24 th October, 1943. He directed two James Bond films (Goldeneye, Casino Royale) and is the first director since John Glen to do so, also being the Oldest director so far. He directed ‘The Mask of Zoro’ and ‘The Legend of Zoro’ also, as well as ‘Green Lantern’.

FILMING Martin Campbell used Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones for both zoro movies. He sets important scenes atop high places frequently. ‘I like pre-production and post the best. I don't like shooting at all. I find it grueling and tough, but I love post and the whole process of seeing the film finally come together. You start ironing out all the rough spots, and the really bad bits you just throw away. So from day one of post to the last day, you see nothing but improvements.’-Martin Campbell

IMPACT ON NEW ZEALAND Martin Campbell’s films have seen much international acclaim, while his film ‘Vertical limits’ (receiving mixed reception) was shot around many locations, including new zealand.
