6 GSC-9, Seoul Results (2) Background of the Forums’ Longevity –7 forums, i.e. ATMF, GSMA, OMG, PCISIG, PCMCIA, TMF and ISOC, were selected as major representative from each objective field - telecommunications, information technology and service fields - for analysis TelecommunicationsTelecommunications –Change its purpose from specifications development and maintenance –Raise its value in association with quasi-International Standard Organization Information technologyInformation technology –Developing versatile technologies and generating common specifications, –Shortening the standardization time - keeping up with the market demand, –Acting coherently with the growing business/industry fields.
