3 Earth Science Students study the Earth Its composition Its meteorology Its oceanograph y Its atmosphere Its astronomy Honors Earth Science students complete several research projects during the year.

4 Biology Students searching, examining, and discovering…

5 Biology students will participate in a variety of laboratory experiments and develop an appreciation for the world around them. Honors Biology students will complete an independent research project during the year. AP Biology students must have completed both Biology 1 and Chemistry or be enrolled in Chemistry concurrently.

6 Students lost in the world of learning…

7 First year Chemistry students should be enrolled in Algebra II or a higher math. This course requires higher level thinking skills with the ability to critically analyze lab results. Chemistry I Students must have completed Chemistry I. This course requires higher level thinking skills with the ability to critically analyze all materials. AP Chemistry

9 Students enrolled in this course need a minimum of Algebra I skills. Conceptual Physics Students enrolled in this course need a minimum of Algebra II with Trig math skills. Physics Student enrolled in this course must be enrolled concurrently in Calculus. AP Physics

11 Environmental Exploration Students in this course will spend at least 50% of the year in the outdoors on field trips and completing projects. 13 Independent Science Research Students spend the year on an independent project. Students research, develop, and conduct an independent research project. The project will culminate with participation in the Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

14 Geospatial Science Students use Geographic Information System to study and analyze data. Students study and learn to use the different tools associated with GIS. Students have the opportunity to obtain three college credits from James Madison University after successfully completing the course.
