Research has shown that chronic disease is caused chiefly by environmental factors (approx. 75%) and genetics (approx. 25%). As our indoor environments have become increasingly closed off from the outdoors, we have come to depend on ventilation systems to maintain safe indoor air. Restoring the Balance™ It has been known since the 1970’s that atmospheric hydroxyl radicals (hydroxyls) are continuously produced by the action of the sun’s radiated ultra violet light (UV) on oxygen and water vapor in our atmosphere. It was only recently that researchers determined that the hydroxyl concentration during the day was between 500,000 to 2.6 million hydroxyls in each cubic centimeter of ambient outdoor air. Hydroxyls are the main driving force behind the daytime reactions with hydrocarbons in the troposphere and decompose most natural and man-made pollutants including greenhouse gases like methane and ozone. Atmospheric hydroxyls are also proven to kill bacteria, virus, and mold because they are able to penetrate their permeable cell membranes. Atmospheric hydroxyls are a critical component of nature’s dynamic ability to provide environments that are free of pathogens and harmful chemicals. Safe & Natural Mother Nature uses atmospheric hydroxyl molecules to cleanse and decontaminate our outdoor environment. However, hydroxyls are not produced naturally indoors. Through years of development and field testing, HGI developed a patented process that safely generates atmospheric hydroxyls that naturally "seek and destroy" odour molecules, bacteria, viruses, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mold and other chemicals. The ODOROX® Atmospheric Hydroxyl Generator actually neutralizes odour and gases by breaking down their chemical bonds. This can be done with even some of the most difficult molecules, such as Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and Ammonia (NH3). Atmospheric Hydroxyls Atmospheric Hydroxyls (-OH) are safe, naturally occurring molecules. They are created in the outdoors when the ultraviolet rays of the sun react with water vapor from the air. This is a natural process that constantly occurs in our atmosphere. Hydroxyls are the single most important agent that scrubs and cleanses our planet’s atmosphere. Green Technology at Work® ODOROX® Generators implement a dual process attack on contaminants: 1. The processing chamber sanitizes airflow and produces hydroxyls (-OH). 2. The hydroxyl (-OH) molecules exit the chamber to decontaminate surfaces and contents. Processing Chamber Air is directed into the chamber where ambient humidity and multiple nanometer wavelengths and frequencies combine to create an oxidizing formula and produce hydroxyls. The quartz crystal optics are finely tuned to deodorize air flow, eradicate bacteria and other microorganisms, and produce hydroxyl molecules. The purified air is sent into the environment along with atmospheric hydroxyls to further decontaminate surfaces & contents.

Green Technology at Work® The ODOROX® Technology Advantage Once the hydroxyls are created by the ODOROX® generator, unlike in competing hydroxyl generator technology, the hydroxyls are able to be disbursed to neutralize odour molecules, bacteria, viruses, mold, VOCs and other chemicals. This system does not require all of the contaminants within a room to pass through the processing chamber because of the cascade effect. The Cascade Effect This reaction of the atmospheric hydroxyls generated by the ODOROX® technology guarantees a more rapid and thorough decontamination. Outside of unit, the ODOROX® hydroxyls immediately begin a cascade reaction: the hydroxyl molecule sanitizing pollutants in the far corner of the room are not necessarily the same hydroxyl molecules that exited the generator. The cascade of hydroxyls quickly disperse throughout the area and penetrate surfaces and objects for thorough decontamination. Any quenched hydroxyls are continuously replaced by the system, providing constant decontamination. No other hydroxyl generation technology effectively sustains the hydroxyl cascade effect.
