Z-CLUB SERVICES You have 2 kinds of service: Community or School Weekly Service & Projects Any time spent with Z-Club is counted for your hours. We have meetings, projects, service activities (elementary school carnivals, Salvation Army Toy Shop, Revel, and Artbreak, for example), making teacher cookies, bringing supplies, fundraisers, etc. You are required to do 1/3 of all possible hours, per semester. Participate in as many as you can, as we do not know what service opportunities will be available throughout the semester. You will participate in a school or community service that is approximately 1 hour a week. You may choose to do volunteer work at a hospital, nursing home, or any place that you are volunteering for the betterment of the community and are not paid. Only one worker per teacher. Some suggestions are Shriners, Schumpert, Holy Angels, Providence House, Lighthouse, etc. You may also choose to help a teacher here at Byrd. I will have a list for you to choose shortly. YOU MUST DO THESE TO REMAIN A MEMBER. SENIORS MAY NOT LEAVE “ON PROBATION” 3

SUMMARY: 1. You will fill out the Weekly Service Information Sheet and return it to Ms. Fox by September 27, 2013. We must have this information in order for you to remain a member in good standing. 2. You will then give the Weekly Service Hours Sheet to your teacher or your service supervisor. You may put it in a folder to help them keep up with your Hours Sheet. You may want to “decorate” the folder to personalize it. It will be returned to Ms. Fox at the end of the semester by December 6, 2013, with your teacher’s signature, or your supervisor’s signature and phone number.
