2. Another great thing about Delaware is all the tax- free shopping! People come from other states just to shop here, especially at the popular Tanger Outlets. Delaware is also home to a VERY good ice cream industry- Woodside Farm Creamery. Small farms or country stores sell it, and there’s always a long line!

3. The small wonder.. Delaware is the first state, even though it is very small! The state capital is Dover. Delaware is very famous for it’s beaches, the most popular being Rehobeth.

4. Although Delaware is mainly farmland and small towns, there is one big city, and that’s Wilmington. A nice place to visit there is the Riverfront. It has a lot of restaurants and activities. Also, Delaware is home to The Dover International Speedway for NASCAR.

6. Middletown, Delaware If you like a busy town but quiet farmland right around the corner, then Middletown is the place for you to visit. There’s a lot of back roads with private houses out in the open, but not in the middle of no where. The town of Middletown is full of restaurants, small business and private owned shops, stores, things to do, and more. It’s not a busy city but it’s not a big empty space on the map. It’s the best of both worlds!

8. Happy Holidays! There are many holiday traditions in Middletown, for example – Christmas in Odessa. There’s also Coleman’s Christmas tree farm where families go for Halloween and pick their own pumpkins, and go back at Christmas to cut down their own Christmas tree!

9. For fun in Middletown, there’s the bowling Ally, The movies, Frightland, Hanging out at Buffalo Wild Wings, And going to High School football games is always a seasonal favorite!

10. The Weather The weather in Middletown changes with the seasons. It’s not hot or cold all year here! We have cold winters, hot summers, and cool falls & springs.

11. Middletown High School Middletown High school is a great school, and home of the Cavaliers! The teachers are nice and there’s always fun events to attend. And there’s plenty of sports to play for boys and girls!

13. Our mascot is a cavalier, who attends all of the pep rallies on Fridays before big games to get the school ready to cheer for their team that night! and our school colors are BLUE and WHITE! We have a lot of school spirit here.

14. Homecoming! Homecoming is a big deal in a small town like ours. We have spirit week first, where everyone participates in crazy things like fashion disaster day, class color day, nerd day, and so on. Then on that Friday we have a pep rally to get ready for the big game that night, after the parade through town of course. Then during half time of the game the homecoming king and queen are announced, and they wear their crowns to the dance on Saturday night!

15. Just like every American High school, we have sports, spirit, homecoming, learning, clubs, activities, prom, opportunities, and great people working to help us succeed and go on to college.
