Policy Formation AOA House is the policy-making body of the osteopathic profession AOA Board sets policy in absence of meeting of House AOA Executive Committee sets policy in absence of meeting of Board

Policy Development Process Resolutions from any AOA member/entity Submitted to House Assigned to Reference Cte (RC) Made up of members of House (15-20) Education Public Affairs Professional Affairs Ad Hoc Constitution and Bylaws Testimony taken in RC Any member can attend and speak

Policy Development Process Vote of the House establishes policy Sometimes House tackles an issue over which it does not have authority, so generally such concerns are presented as advisory
