1 Status of Public Involvement Activities October 29, 2010 2035 Mobility Vision Plan

2 On August 12 th the TPO Board Meeting approved the 2035 Draft Cost-Feasible Plan for public review and comment. TPO staff is in the process of soliciting comments on the Draft Plan. The TPO has held four public workshops and been available at several community events in support of the public comment period - August through October. The TPO has scheduled an adoption hearing for December 7 th for the final approval of the Plan. Public Comment Period

7 Transit Projects Additions: Commuter Rail (US 92/CSX) (300-303), Bus Service along I-4, USFP to Winter Haven (T-106), Mulberry to Lake Wales (T-117), Winter Haven to HSR Stop (T-198), more Bus Shelters. Remove: High Speed Rail (I-4). Public Comments

8 Sidewalk Projects Additions: All roads in the Urban Areas, Marigold/ Poinciana Parkway, SR 60 (SR 17 to 11 th ), Fish Hatchery Road, US 98 & 17 (“bus stops should be more accessible”), CR 540 (Clubhouse Rd). Remove: Old Bartow Eagle Lake Road and portions of SR 60. Public Comments

9 Bicycle & Trail Projects Additions: Lunn Rd (BL), Shepherd Rd (BL), Clubhouse Road (BL), Poinciana Parkway/Marigold Ave (BL), Mamouth Grove Road (TR), Implement Ridge Scenic Highway Bike/Ped Master Plan Remove: Old Bartow Eagle Lake Road and portions of SR 60. “Don’t fund any new trails until the economy improves.” Public Comments
