6 LINk Legacy Content -Training Programme continued Optional Modules  Sit & See - locally devised programme designed to improve observation skills  Producing Reports  Working with the regulators – Care Quality Commission  Any other learning identified by individuals to develop their role (usually identified in discussion meeting)  Basic Makaton (is a language programme designed to provide a means of communication to individuals who cannot communicate efficiently by speaking)

8 LINk Legacy Content – Policies Procedures and Processes  Department of Health Code of Conduct and Duties (under current legislation)  East Sussex LINk Policy (Local Determination) Local Policy recently amended to allow representatives to undertake unannounced visits to services  Procedure to become an Authorised Representative  Joint Working Protocols (With local statutory partners – including communication protocols)  Management of Information Protocols (sharing information)
