3 Public Health – Seattle & King County You are where you eat  Our environment affects our heath behaviors  We can reduce sugary drink consumption by limiting access to sugary drinks in places where we:  Live  Work  Learn  Play  How do we do that?

4 Public Health – Seattle & King County Organizational Drink Policies  To reduce sugary drink consumption, organizations can adopt policies that:  Ban or restrict the availability of sugary drinks  Promote water consumption  Make sugary drinks more expensive than healthier options  Limit portion size  Limit marketing and promotion  Prohibit using organizational funds to purchase sugary drinks  Educate people about healthy choices
