3. The books that Lloyd Alexander Wrote Lloyd Alexander has written over 40 books, mostly for teens and kids. For this exploration, I will only focus on the Prydain series (Pydain is a fictional land). These were his most popular books. The first one was called The Book of Three (the one I read). Following after that in order are: The Black Cauldron (I am currently reading this), The Castle of Llyr, Taran Wanderer, and The High King. He wrote a sixth book, that takes place in this fictional land but it is not part of this series, called The Foundling and Other Short Stories About Prydain. I plan to finish the series and the extra book.
