HS Announcements: Thursday, Dec. 6 th High School 1.The Guidance Office will host its annual Senior Financial Aid Night tonight - Thursday, December 6 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the cafetorium. Mary Rashad from Wright State University’s Financial Aid Office will be here to explain the FAFSA process and the different types of aid. Please plan to attend. 2.Attention seniors: Are you interested in applying for the Franklin B. Walters All-Scholastic Award? If so, the application and required documents are due in the HS Guidance Office by January 22, 2013. Stop by HS Guidance to pick up an application. 3.High school students that are interested in participating in a 2013 summer program to get a head start on the path to college can stop in the guidance office to find out what opportunities are available for them at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. 4.All Santa Shop Volunteers, please report to your high school teacher before leaving to work the Santa Shop in Mod 12. There is a list of workers and times outside of Mr. Schlabach's room. A reminder to those NHS volunteers working the Green Hill's Christmas dinner, it is this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Help is still needed Saturday Dec 8th at 11am; see Mrs. Smith if you can work. Also a reminder to all New NHS Members – you have two service hours due by Monday, Dec. 10 th. 5.Any high school student who is in need of service hours for NHS or Link Crew or any other activity, please see Jake Vitt for service opportunities. 6.High school yearbooks are on sale for $25 dollars until Christmas break. Just return the order form to Mr. Lynxwiler to preorder the 2013 book. After Christmas the price goes up. Also we still have a few copies of last year’s book for $30. Don’t regret it in ten years, get your memories in full color. 7.Spanish Club Officers will meet today during first homeroom in room 52. Also, all Spanish Club members need to pay $10 dues by Monday, Dec. 10 th. 8.There will be a STAND meeting this Friday during second homeroom in Room 68. 9.A Quick Update from the Red Cross Club – the bake sale before Thanksgiving raised $210 for Sandy relief and the high school student body helped the club get 732 cards signed for the Holiday Mail for Heroes program. The next meeting of the Red Cross Club will be December 19 th. 10.If you would like to enter the drawing for December Safe Driver of the Month and have had no traffic infractions for the entire month of November, you may enter your name in the box in Mrs. Conrad’s room by Friday, December 7. This month’s safe driver will receive a $15 gas card, sponsored by FCCLA. 11.Reminder to Link Crew members that you have training this week during homeroom. Training will take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and Link Crew members will teach lessons to freshmen during homeroom on Friday. Training will take place in Mrs. Rafferty’s room. See Mr. McGill or Mrs. Warye with questions. 12.So do you think you have TALENT? Sign up for the Talent Show in the High School Office by December 12th and get ready to show off your talents to your classmates. Auditions for the Talent Show will be on Thursday, December 13th from 3-5pm. Please come prepared to the audition with all that you will need for your act. Fill out the information sheet for Mr. Lamb after you sign up and return to him by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 12th. Good Luck! 13.Voluntary Baseball Open Gym will be today from 3:00-4:30 in the elementary gym.
