School Hours: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Students line up outside Door 19 and 20. Let in at 7:52 am. Students line up inside during bad weather. Homeroom is 1 st period for 14 minutes. 9 periods, 41 minutes, 4 minute passing period LA, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, Lunch, Exploratory/Study Hall Band and/or Choir Home Economics, Intro to Tech Apps, Music, or Art A Day in the Life of a 6 th Grader

PE Uniforms- Grey Shirt, Blue Shorts. Must change for PE everyday. Changing is part of your PE participation grade. You will have a PE locker and lock. Assignment notebooks-Helps keep you ORGANIZED!!! Check out the Murphy website for homework. A Day in the Life of a 6 th Grader

Homework, Organization, and Planning Skills Research based intervention For all 6 th grade students Focuses on school materials organization, homework management, time management and planning Parent component HOPS

HOPS system=uniform school supplies for each student. Program is most effective when all students have the right materials. Supply Kit includes: Zipper binder, dividers, folders, composition book, post it notes, file folders, index cards, loose leaf paper, pencils, colored pencils, highlighters, pens, eraser, glue stick, pencil case School Supplies

Bullseye Slip – a slip of paper issued by a staff member that recognizes students demonstrating one (or more) pillar of the M.A.V.S. Program. Utilized to reinforce positive behaviors. Students submit Bullseyes for weekly prize drawings. M.A.V.S. Program

No hats. Dress Code – Must be covered from shoulder to mid- thigh. No backpacks! They must be kept in locker. Cell phones are a per teacher policy. May not use elevator unless you have a pass.
