Did you know that Texas used to be a part of Mexico? Did you know that Texas had to fight for its independence? Did you know that Texans wrote their own Declaration of Independence many years ago? Did you also know that Texans wrote their own Constitution many years ago? Now that you have been informed, are you wondering how Texas won its independence from Mexico? Why were Texans willing to risk their lives for independence from Mexico? You and your Texan teammate will work together, in this Quest, to determine the answers to these questions. Task

Project Create a timeline, with dates and pictures, that shows Texas’ fight for Independence. The timeline must begin with the first battle of the Texas Revolution and end with the last battle of the Texas Revolution. Your timeline must include important battles and important people of the Texas Revolution. Create a newspaper to show the Heroes of the Texas Revolution. Pretend you are a Texan involved in one of the four major battles of the Texas Revolution. Create a comic strip about one of that major battle, as if you were there. Tell the story in your own words using facts about that battle. This is a very difficult task, so if you select this app, be prepared to take on a difficult task. Create a newspaper article that details Texas’ and Texans’ fight for independence from Mexico. Create a Map showing the locations of each major battle during the Texas Revolution. Each location must have the date and name of the battle. You must also include a small biography of famous Texans involved in each battle as well as details of the battle. Resources
