5 Read Chapters 7-9 (103-119) Finish the book!

6 Activity 1.Create a timeline of at least 10 events of Elie’s life throughout the book. 2. Draw a picture of one image that stands out in your mind. 3. Work with a partner…EACH PARTNER MUST HAVE THEIR OWN READING LOG…one partner will take on the role of a character, the other will take on the role of an interviewer. Create an interview (questions and answers) that you would ask one of the characters in the book. Pretend that you are actually talking to the character. You will need to create at least 8 questions for your character. 4. Writing Situation: The concentration camp at Auschwitz was the largest mass- murder recorded in history. The number of deaths that occurred in the camp is breathtaking. Writing Directions: Write an article for your school newspaper about the notorious concentration camp. Include living conditions, treatment of prisoners, and other important facts.
