The main part is the Heart which pumps blood through arteries. The capillaries pass blood from the artery to the vein.
3
The major organs are the Heart, Lungs, Arteries, Veins, Platelets and Capillaries. http://www.medical-artist.com/vascular-system-illustrations.html
4
It transports gases like oxygen from the lungs to the cells, transports nutrients, transports waste from cells to organs. It contains cells that fight against infections. It maintains the Ph level. Helps maintain body temperature.
5
Digested food is converted into form for utilization by various body tissue.
6
The blood will not get pumped by the heart. If cells do not get blood they die.
7
The diseases of the circulatory system are Acute Coronary Syndrome, Endocarditis, and Conceptual Apraxia. The Acute Coronary Syndrome is an unstable angina (Chest Pains) non elevation and elevation myocardial infarction (Heart Attack). The Endocarditis is an disease that inflames the inner layer of the heart. It can be infective and non infective.
8
The Conceptual Apraxia is the brain possesses ability to organize work that needs different motor skills. The ability to organize tasks is mostly lost. The treatment for Acute Coronary Syndrome is Nitroglycerin and aspirin medicine to treat this disease. The treatment for Endocarditis is replacing the heart valve and the treatment of antibiotics. The treatment for Conceptual Apraxia is unknown of any medical help.
9
What you can do is eat healthy foods (eat vegetables, fruits, and all kinds of meat), and exercise. It is really not that hard at all!
10
A fun fact about the heart is it beats about 3 billion times in an average persons life (Wow that’s a lot!). A red blood cell takes about 20 seconds to circle a persons whole body. In a drop of blood there is about 5 million red blood cells. Blood that is full of oxygen turns out to be the color red. Red blood cells could live for 4 months feeding other body cells.
11
Why is it important that oxygen gets to the blood and cells? It is important because if the blood cells don’t get oxygen they will die. Oxygen is vital for the body. What is the function of the blood vessels and the capillaries? The Capillaries exchange water and other chemicals between the blood and body tissues. Why does blood turn dark red as it circulates through the body? It turns dark red because it gets less oxygen as it goes through the body to the heart to get more oxygen.
