Communication Home School Diaries- children bring in to school & take home everyday. Diaries signed for Monday to be checked and signed by the teacher. Notes to teacher in diary. Newsletter every Friday- website. E-safety agreement/ class rules/ diary agreement signed by children and discussed with parents. Diaries stamped when children have read in a group.

Homework Approximately 30 minutes daily. Set every Friday- available on the website. Includes spellings and x tables & ‘mymaths’, reading comprehensions, grammar tasks and research. Reading Target Bookmarks Feedback given in different ways.

Spellings Focused on a rule/ pattern/ topic words. Once a month children will create spelling list from mis-spelt words from their books. Spellings given out and tested on Monday. Chn self mark & record scores in diary.
