Just what is it? It works closely with the cardiovascular system and has 4 primary functions

These four functions Eliminate excess fluid Digestion Lymphocytes Defend against pathogens

Definitions Vessels-transport the stuff including fluids and solutions which contain many things like oxygen and lymph Lymph-clear liquid type plasma that helps fights off infections Edema-localized swelling caused by the accumulation of tissue fluid that has not been collected by the lymphatic system B and T lymphocytes- lymphocites that mature mature in bone marrow and the thymus, B lymphocytes mature in bone marrow, and T lymphocytes are in the thymus.

Definitions cont. Bone marrow- red bone marrow are the stem cells that produce blood cells. Thymus gland-located in the thoracic cavity between the Tricia and the sternum, it shrivels up when you get old. Lymph nodes- they cleanse the lymph Spleen-the white pulp filters the blood it has white pulp in the spleen Tonsils-little patches of lymphatic tissue that are located in the pharynx and aren't special at all. Such a waste!
