Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ●Companies cannot discriminate for any reason o Race o Ethnicity o Religion o Sex ●EEOC can sue companies for discrimination o Must pay workers if they discriminate and decide to sue

Age Discrimination and Employment Act ●Cannot force retirement ●People between 40-70 can sue employers for discriminations ●Cannot discriminate based on age ●Includes: Hiring, promotions, or retirement

Americans with Disabilities Act ●No discriminating on people with disabilities o Must not deny a position based on a disability ●Must accommodate for these people ●Examples: o Wheel chair accessible o Tools to do the job o assisted technology
