E Science USA Clifford Lynch Libraries must investigate changing research practice Data must be contextualised by software, workflow etc. How to manage software which manage data Data must be available for re-use, not simply preserved Change of scale will lead to change in way we do things …will also lead to more institutional collaboration More specialisation of roles in libraries Library has a role in establishing values – intellectual property issues, public v private data, availability of government funded data, standards.
