DEFINITION Evaporation is when a liquid becomes a gas. When the molecules in a liquid are heated, they move faster. This makes them full of energy and so the particles collide with each other, and eventually they become so far apart that they become a gas. For example- 1) water left in a bowl for too long slowly disappears. 2) puddle of water disappearing in the sun 3) Clothes drying up in the sun This happens because the suns’ rays heat up the water puddles and clothes and the water starts evaporating
