What time is it? ¿Qué hora es?

It is…. 2 ways: Es la… (when it is 1 and minutes) Son las… (when it is 2 or more and minutes)

Midnight and Noon Es el mediodia. (noon) Es la medianoche. (midnight)

How do I give the time? Say the hour and the word “y” and minutes. Sentence formula: “It is” + hour + “y” + minutes + “am/pm”

More ways to tell time: To say “til” Formula: “it is” + hour its going to be + “menos” + minutes til the next hour Example: 8:45 Son las nueve menos quince. OR Son las nueve menos cuarto.
