It will take place on the 12th of November 2008 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, a half day session. The focus of the course is on radiology and orthopaedic concepts regarding the shoulder joint. This will be of benefit to all orthopaedic surgeons and radiologists. Concepts and treatment options for patients with shoulder pain and instability evolve at a rapid pace. Developments in imaging technology for sports injuries have also occurred in the recent years, with high-field (3T) scanners, new ultrasound technologies and also greater anatomical understanding that underpins interpretation of the scans. This pre-congress course is necessary to bring surgeons and radiologists together on the latest developments and concepts so that, as a fraternity, we speak the same language. It is an 5 hour interactive session. There will be foreign and local faculty sharing their experience and lectures touching on the various aspects of performing this surgery.
