Thank You! Research shows that when you are involved in your child’s school your child learns more and achieves at a higher rate. We know this experience will be worthwhile for your child and the rest of our Culley Cougars.

Ways to Volunteer Help out the classroom teachers by: Making copies Cutting out items for projects and bulletin boards Organizing Working with students one on one or with a small group (reading & math) Take projects home to complete Help out around the school: Help tend the garden Help clean up grafitti and trash Be a hall monitor Be a helper for a club or committee Help supervise students at recess

Things you must do when you work Sign in at the office on the computer and get a visitor’s badge Check out on the computer when you leave Use the workroom in the annex Report copier problems to Candie, the office manager Dress appropriately Use adult restrooms only Keep cell phones on silent Follow your teacher’s directions for all emergency situations Keep the information you may hear or observe about a student confidential Allow teachers to handle discipline issues Report issues that are concerning

Emergency Situations Fire Alarm – exit the building to the front parking lot or field Shelter In Place – Go the nearest classroom and remain there until we are given the all clear signal Lock Down – Go to the nearest classroom and remain there until we are given the all clear signal
