2014 – 2020 programming context Funds available: 2007 – 2013: 4,1 bn EUR (CF, ERDF, ESF) 104 mio EUR (ETC) 2014 – 2020: 3 bn EUR (CF, ERDF, ESF) 160 mio EUR (CEF), 21 mio EUR (FEAD), 63 mio EUR (ETC) Slovenia is among the countries that was severely hit by the economic and financial crisis high discrepancy betwenn funds available and the needs 2 Cohesion regions

Challenges ahead Further concentration of proposed measures Improve intervention logic, specific objectives formulation, in some cases better elaboration of the described measures to demonstrate contribution to the specific objectives Demonstrate more clearly the synergies among the investment priorities Sustainable urban development/integrated territorial investments Approval of both councils of both cohesion regions
