2 Ch 1 Sec 1-What is Science? The goal of science is to investigate and understand nature, to explain events in nature, and to use those explanations to make useful predictions. Science Features: 1. Science has several features that make it different from other human endeavors. 2. Scientists collect and organize information in a careful, orderly way, looking for patterns and connections between events. 3. Scientists propose explanations that can be tested by examining evidence.

3 Science is an organized way of using evidence to learn about the natural world. - BIOLOGY is the study of living or once living things. - Bio = life - ology = the study of
