W-Ie-Ne-R Visit to Wiener 10 th February 2003 –Primary aim: to finalise acceptance of VME64x prototypes. –Additionally: To establish whether Wiener is still interested in supplying rad-tol power supplies.

Company Profile People: –My estimate from visit: ~20 people on site –Some people who worked at Wiener, have set up shop for themselves and Wiener outsource to them. –Electronic design engineer: Andreas Koster –Mechanical engineer: Herr ….?

PL500/UX-PS Our question to Wiener: –Are you interested in producing a prototype PS to our specification (I.e. no control by MCU), with a view to a follow-up series production. Wiener’s response: –Yes.

PL500/UX-PS Caveat: Essentially one design engineer. Top priority: CE certification from “Tuv” (Ethernet interface - for Accelerator) Other projects?

PL500/UX-PS Timing: –I doubt that they can work seriously on the redesign of the MCU board before March. –Magnetic shielding work could start almost immediately. –Specification (Bruno Allongue) -next week.
