Relationship between Population and Agricultural censuses Use of common concept, definition and classification Eg: Household: ISCO and ISIC Share field materials eg: boundaries: EA’s : Maps Population census provides a frame for ag census Based on households not holdings Collect core Ag data from population census and vice versa Then the data from the two census could be linked.

Consideration in Integrating the Two censuses Overloading the questionnaires Respondent burden NSO capacity (particularly on IT)

Current Development & way forward Samoa strategy for the development of Statistics 2011- 2021 (SSDS) Vision: ‘An effective statistical System providing relevant, quality statistic for the benefit of Samoa.’ Mission: ‘To create a comprehensive statistical system, through effective partnership, that delivers relevant, quality statistical information and services that help users make informed decisions and track progress.’
