3.  Why are large families still considered desirable despite concerns about population?  Children supplement income  Children support parents in old age  Why is education fundamental in the slowing of population growth?  Health education can reduce the need for large families by reducing infant mortality rate  Educated parents will be less reliant on their children to supplement family income  What difficulties are South Asian governments encountering in providing adequate education?  Inadequate funds  Inability to keep up with needs of  population
