ESS F5 Health & Food Safety UNECE/WHO/Eurostat - Measurement health status - Budapest 14-16/11/2005 Slide 4 of 10 EHIS To be operational in 2007/2008, in the framework of the Community Statistical programme 2003-2007 and Public Health programme 2003-2008 The modules may be grouped in one separate national survey or included in one or more existing national surveys (i.e. national HIS, labour force survey, other) - guidelines on survey design EDM : later implementation Preparing legislation (currently framework regulation on health statistics, then implementing regulations)

MEHM: self-perceived health (global) - in MEHM limitations at least the past 6 months due to health problems (global) - in MEHM chronic conditions (global and detailed) - in MEHM physical and sensory functional limitations personal care activities household care activities other daily activities psychological distress and well-being
