Student Accounts Total by institution This is the institution a student self-selects, not necessarily the school the student is at now. CAS users tend to select their target school. Transfer Guide Requests Query engine allows you to enter your own parameters Date can take entries of form MM/DD/YYYY Degree Program Code is the DARS DPROG code Year/Term code takes entries of form YYYYT Back to the Usage Stats IndexUsage Stats Index

Planning Guide Requests Program name – if you don’t know the DARS program code, can search on a name I.e. ‘bus’ brings back programs including “Business” General query tip – if you aren’t sure of a code, try a general query and see how the codes are formatted, then use that in your next query. Other cool usage counters CAS Web Reports – General hit counters for the CAS sites https report counts all hits inside of the CAS application (the one you have to log into as a guest or a member) http report counts all hits to the site that aren’t inside of CAS itself. CAS Survey Results Real-time summary of the CAS user satisfaction survey results Can view results for all time, or just for current year ACETS Numbers Report Back to CASCAS

Update on CAS Resources Arizona Advising Conference – February 10-11, 2004 at Maricopa The CAS Team has submitted 3 presentations Degrees and Pathways – new query engine tool Advisor tab > Degrees and Pathways > 2004 Go to the Degrees and Pathways Query EngineDegrees and Pathways Query Engine Advisor Level Accounts in CAS Allow Advisors to view planning guides created by students for programs at the advisors’ institution Provided students disclose their CAS ID to advisors

Coming attractions Pima College piloting an automatic course import into CAS from their SIS Possible statewide licensure for this interface, depending upon Pima’s experience New “Blended Planning Guides” will provide a centralized view of AGEC, pathway & university planning guide info in CAS Go to the prototype blended guideprototype blended guide

Interactive Audit (DARWIN) The newest upgrade of DARS is called DARWIN and it moves all DARS functions to the web So all users (student and staff) will access DARWIN via the web An exciting feature that is available with the upgrade is the interactive/graphical audit Let’s see the future of DARS DARS Web LoginDARS Web Login

NCAA Pilot and the Audit Adding new “Electives” requirements to a select number of DPROGS at all three campuses for Fall 2004 Will be working with departments to monitor progress through the fall and spring semesters Goal is to have requirements added to all DPROGS by Fall 2005

Reminders about exceptions to University Requirements All exceptions to university requirements must be completed by a DARS staff member Exceptions to university requirements can only be completed if approved by the Academic Provost’s office and only after the approval is posted on the RG81 screen in the SIS Examples are students approved to graduate with less then required total hours or less than required upper division hours

Remember when using the K screen...... Do not leave the K screen open and run the risk of being timed out Exit correctly by pushing the F3 key or courses may be duplicated in the audit If you find duplicate courses in the audit go to the student’s K screen enter “T” in the DISPLAY IND field the student’s locked courses will appear exit the screen by pressing F3 – the duplicate set of courses should be removed from the audit
