1. Definition of a premarital agreement The agreement made before the date of marriage. 2. Must an engaged couple make a premarital agreemen? No. it's not necessary.

3.Why do some people make a premarital agreement? 1.To protect the respective property assets before or during marriage in case of divorce 2.To compensate financially for the loss of his or her job if the spouse holds few assets has to stay at home and raise a family.

4. What should people do to get a marriage certificate? They should appear together at the marriage registration department, present the marriage application and all the certificates required by the marriage law.

5. How is property bought during a marriage divided if the marriage breaks up? In most cases the parties each will receive an equal share unless there is a premarital agreement.But in some cases, courts will decide on equitable shares depending on some facts such as length of marriage, behavior duiring marriage,etc.
