Observations ► Use all 5 senses ► A noting and recording of…. FACTS!!! ► Quantitative Example: There is one door in the room. ► Qualitative Example: The bulletin board is covered in space fabric.

What observations can we make about this photo?

Inferences ► Cannot be observed. ► Logical conclusion based on something already known or believed to be true ► Uses observations. Example: She is wearing a coat, it must be cold outside.
