Canada is a limited government. Canada is a parliamentary democracy. There is an Executive branch, a Legislative branch, and a Judicial branch. In the Executive branch, there is chief of state. In the Legislative branch, there is Parliament that consists of the Senate. In the Judicial branch, there is a Supreme Court of Canada.

Provinces and Cities The capital of Canada is Ottawa in the province of Ontario. There are thirteen provinces that make up Canada, Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Saskatchewan. The provinces are governed by a Premier
