Here is the plan… Students will understand the basic beliefs of the 3 major religious systems found in Africa. Students will look for patterns between physical geography and religious beliefs. Students will look for other examples of Africa’s cultural diversity.

Map Exercise Partner Up - Using the statistical information from the CIA Fact book track religious patterns throughout Africa. Use color coding to show the religion or religions that are dominate in that country. Provide a Key to explain your map. Look at DAG Textbook pg #242 for examples. KISS – You will have to create some BROAD religious categories (NATIVE?) to accommodate a number of smaller religious beliefs.
