6 The Pilot phase The pilot is a three part partnership between: Shell SABCOHA Shell Retailer (Petrol Station Owner) The process brings the following to the Retailer Forecourt: Wellness screening and HCT for staff and family HCT for the general public Condom distribution to staff and general public Assistance with HIV/AIDS training for focal points We have identified 10 sites from each of our Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern regions. Staff Wellness screening and HCT costs will be shared between Shell and the Retailers on a 50/50 basis. SABCOHA will fund the Wellness screening and HCT for a family member or friend and HCT only for the general public. The successes, statistics and lessons learned will be shared with the larger Retailer groups at our forthcoming Retailer conferences. Participation in the program going forward into 2012 will be sought from the Retailers at the conferences. 27 October 20156

7 This Wellness Screening and HCT initiative focuses on the uninsured population groups previously not exposed to HCT and Wellness programs. The full Wellness package is offered to employees, minimizing some of the stigma / discrimination often found when offering HCT testing only. SABCOHA is managing the Wellness Screening and HCT on-site service delivery process and will provide the Retailer and Shell with the necessary reporting mechanisms to effectively start addressing the risk and building up a comprehensive database. As a result of the SABCOHA Global Fund co-contribution, Shell is able to reach double the number of lives. Part of this process also includes looking at support and follow up services available to those who test positive. 27 October 20157 The Pilot phase

9 Condom distribution at Retailer Forecourts Opportunity to play a significant and meaningful role in the fight against HIV / AIDS Research conducted in 2004, estimates that for the distribution of every 500 condoms, 1 new infection is averted. Play a proactive role in avoiding overburdening the public health care system with additional new infections. Preventing some of the additional strain on the economy in terms of impact on both the labor force as well as healthcare budgets. Assisting to reduce, in the long term, additional children born with HIV / AIDS and the breakdown of the overall family structure. Strengthening Public / Private Partnerships with the Business Sector Assisting government by providing cost effective and efficient mechanisms for condom distribution through the means of using the private sector core competencies, thus making the project more sustainable into the future. 27 October 20159
