2. Biographical Information Joanne Kathleen (J.K.) Rowling was born in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol, England in the year of 1965. Soon J.K grew older and graduated from Exter University and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland while she taught English in Portugal. J.K.
