UNS have started preparing Bologna reforms before being obliged to do so by the governments, being the first in Serbia to begin the process of internal evaluation under EUA supervision (January 2002). followed by EUA Institutional Evaluation (June 2002). defining strategy and selecting the priorities/action lines for reform based on Evaluation Analysis University of Novi Sad – Our approach

Long undergraduate courses of 4-5 years duration Low efficiency, with high drop-out rates Majority of courses are obligatory and very rigid Generally there is no continuous assessment during the study programme The mobility of staff and students is restricted STARTING POINT FOR CRRICULA REFORM

Promotion of the ECTAS principles and philosophy Comprehensive guide to ECTS Open Forum on University level for promotion of institutional, national and international experiences Intensive cooperation with student organizations Initiating networking on national level Participation in European networks and TEMPUS projects Introduction of pilot programmes Analysis of current programmes based on ECTS principles Regional cooperation in ECTS 20 projects on university reform financed by Vojvodina Government OUR APPROACH

Almost half of the current programmes are already reformed One-semester courses start to be common approach Continuous assessment is introduced (increased efficiency? – evaluation) ECTS is introduced in both reformed and new programmes (evaluation next year!)
