DESCRIBE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF EVENTS DEVELOPED AS A RESULT OF THE CIVIL WAR AND RECONSTRUCTION SOC.7.7.4.2 1.Tap the DocsTeach icon on your ipad desktop 2.Choose browse by topic. 3.Choose Civil War and Reconstruction 4.Choose the Civil War as Photographed by Mathew Brady 5.Read the Introduction and task at the bottom and tap Start Activity 6.Tap To Slideshow 7. Choose 3 pictures and complete a photo analysis by answering the questions below. Photo Analysis a.List any objects you see in the picture (clothes, weapons etc) b.List any people you see in the picture. c.Make an inference about the historical period and purpose of the picture d.When you have answered the previous questions, tap on each picture to get the details for the picture. DESCRIBE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF EVENTS DEVELOPED AS A RESULT OF THE CIVIL WAR AND RECONSTRUCTION SOC.7.7.4.2 DOCSTEACH Primary Source Docs : LA.6-8.CCSS.ELA- Literacy.RH.6-8.1 - [Grade Level Standard] - Cite specific textual evidence to support analysis of primary and secondary sources. 1.Tap the DocsTeach icon on your ipad desktop 2.Choose browse by topic. 3.Choose How Effective Were The Efforts of The Freedmens Bureau? 4.Read the Introduction and task at the bottom and tap Start Activity 5.Tap each document to read and make an inference about it’s purpose. 6.After reading each document and making an inference, tap details to read about it’s purpose 7.Once you have analyzed all of the documents and photos click and drag them to the scale to make an evaluation as to whether the Freedman’s bureau was effective or ineffective. 8.As you place the documents on the scale, it will tilt toward effective or ineffective. This is your evaluation of the organization. 9. You must create a justify-it statement to support your evaluation. Example According to the Primary Source Documents on the DOCSTEACH app, I found that the Freedmen’s Bureau did ___________________,and _____________________Knowing this proves to me that the Freedmen’s Bureau was (effective/ineffective)
