2. Explorer’s Map and Sponsor  Explorer’s Map  Where did he go?  Include where he began, any stops along the way, and an end point.  You will draw this on a map, so be sure to include a complete route!  Sponsor  Which country did he sail for?

3. Motivation  Why did he explore?  What did he sail to find?  What was he in search of?  What was he trying to claim for his sponsor?  Why was this exploration important to him?

4. Achievements  What did he accomplish?  What did he find of value?  What did he claim during his exploration?  What effects did these achievements have on present day Texas?

5. Summary of Life  Include the following in paragraph form:  Date and location of birth  Childhood information  Significant life events  Reasons for exploration  Significance of exploration in Texas
