Two things that hold them down are institutional barriers and negative stereotypes. We’ve just blown out the stereotypes. Now for the barriers... Canadians want Canada to play our part! We want the newly elected government to make LDCs a priority by : 1.committing to 0.7% 2.untying more of our aid 3.standing with LDCs on trade issues. To be developed carefully with the North South Inst.

These are quotations from the webtrain: “wicked!” “yeah - brilliant - pushing politicians to move on this” “Great challenge for chapter to work together” “its a great idea...it seems like it would really make national impact!” “is a good idea but i think each chapter should morph it a bit according their needs and capabilities.” “we be down wit it” “we are on spring break...” “The structured approach to MPs has a well focussed impact” “yes chapter morphage” “Looks like a good plan” “the structure and timing are cool - it means we are working together but canhave unique activities” “the structue is great at unifying the EWB chapters with still lots of freedom for chapter to do our own thing” “Like the idea of central structure, but flexible delivery. Resources are provided, but chapters present these how best suits them: great ideas!” “we like involving MP's” “I like the idea of having materials prepared for us so we can concentrate on some of the bigger stuff (i.e. huge media event) and press releases” “I'm drooling, that's a wicked list of materials”
